Peter said in Acts 3:6 “…what I have I give you”. As we read this scripture we see that Peter and John had no money to throw around, instead they gave what they had. In this case they had the power to heal in Jesus name. As we think about this scripture, we today too can ‘give what we have’. You may not think you have much to give, but God has and will enable you to do amazing things. (“more than all we ask or imagine” – Eph 3:20) There are so many needs in our community and each of us has something to give others, as God has designed us to. Everything we have comes from God and we are given gifts as God determines to share with others. That may be a listening ear, a word of encouragement, a helping hand, empathy, love or concern. We may also have excess vegetables, material possessions or monetary wealth and are then able to give out more of these to meet a need. Intercession or healing prayer may be our gift to someone.
Meditate on these words again, “…what I have I give you”. Let us soak them in and encourage us to follow God’s ways and God’s leading in everything we do, as we go about our daily business.
God bless
