“I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Psalm 34:1)
When David said he would praise the Lord “at all times”, he meant in the good times as well as the tough times. To stay full of joy at all times, no matter what the situation is perhaps one of the greatest challenges we face as Christians.
The Bible teaches that the joy of the Lord is the source of our strength and when we step out in faith, proclaiming the truth, in the face of so much falseness around us, we do experience opposition and persecution. That shouldn’t come as any surprise to us; however it is at these times that we are sustained by the joy of the Lord, a joy and a peace that is not possible from our own human resources. The enemy knows that God’s promise is one of giving us His joy in our times of need and the devil knows that if we can be discouraged, before too long we will give up and be defeated. It’s at times like these we need to understand and ‘live in’ the victory that we have through the cross of Jesus Christ.
When we are full of joy and have a good attitude, we keep strong and focussed, its when we are like this that God can work within us, its then that He can work miracles in our lives and we can defeat those forces that come against us.
Be encouraged today and ‘be full of the joy of the Lord”
God Bless

This weekend we have seen a major ‘New Age Festival” in our town, let me encourage you to pray for all those who attend this exhibition, may they find the one true God as they search for meaning in their lives. We know that the world and these ‘new age’ religions offer what appear to be an easy option and an easy path to fulfilment.
May our prayer be that the Holy Spirit will be evident in the lives of those seeking that fulfilment and the truth of finding true fulfilment can only come through a relationship with the creator and His son Jesus Christ.
